Wave Tank

The University of Groningen (UG) performs research on wave energy devices and other relevant marine technologies for which wave loading is important and experiments are critical in validating the predictions of our computational models. For this, a wave tank is needed that can simulate the ocean environment and wave loading on marine structures and their mooring, while measuring the response in terms of kinematics (displacements, velocities and accelerations) and dynamics (forces).
