The NLD MOD is investigating the technological developments in data transmission infrastructure to cope with the increasing demands on robust and secure connectivity, while at the same time meeting the ever-increasing demand for data transport.    For deployed units, SATCOM is nowadays the preferred system for high bandwidth data transport over longer distances, However, the use of SATCOM systems is not always possible or not the preferred option.
